It has been my privilege to serve as your Secretary/Treasurer for the past year. I want to thank you for having faith in me and supporting me to do this job. It has been very rewarding.

Throughout the year, I hear from people who are working for our agency and those who have retired. I have even heard from spouses of retired employees who still stay in touch because they feel we are one big family.

The convention in Corpus Christi was very exciting since we had Dolly the hurricane to visit while we were there. I hope that the convention for 2009 in Dallas will be a little calmer. The convention is set for July 16 th through July 18 th at the Park West Omni in Farmers Branch. This is the Omni that has the theater style meeting room. Please mark your calendars and plan on attending. It is fun to get to visit with people from all over the state and those who attend from Washington DC.

TASCOE is a very important role to us as members. This is the one way that we can have a say in what is needed and happening in our agency. TASCOE is not always able to get everything done that we think needs to be done, but we are always striving to make things better for the membership.
