Ask yourself these questions: Where would our Farm Service Agency be without an employee organization? Where would I be if I did not have an employee organization?

Most of us do not like change; however it’s always going to happen with or without us. TASCOE may not have always acted the way each of us wanted it to; however remember TASCOE has always tried to represent all employees across our state. We all have different ideas, actions and reactions and that is what makes any organization such as TASCOE an effective group to function and get something done.

I am beginning to learn and have a great opportunity to have a true active role in our TASCOE organization. I can already see there is plenty of activity that TASCOE and NASCOE are involved in on a daily basis. As your vice-president I would like to see more employees get involved and more information passed on to all employees.

We must continue to work together. Please give TASCOE your ideas, input, needed changes, criticisms, goals, and etc. By working together we can continue to have a positive impact on our local and national agriculture and business sector. By working together we can also maintain the benefits we have such as health insurance, retirement, work schedule flexibility, etc. By working together and being active maybe we can accomplish items such as maintaining current staff levels and programs we currently administer. TASCOE may not have always done what we wanted, however neither has our family, kids, and other organizations. We must just learn to forgive and keep on supporting them by offering positive suggestions and our time.
